About

Md. Jamal Uddin Chowdhury was born into a respected Muslim family in Koroiya village of Munshirhat Union, Fulgazi Upazila. His father was the late Jalal Ahmed Chowdhury, and his mother the late Firoza Begum.

In his childhood he completed primary education at Koroiya Kalikapur Government Primary School, and passed with a first division in the Commerce group from Koroiya Kalikapur High School. He later passed his HSC from Fulgazi Government College and his B.Com from Feni Government College.

From the middle of his student life, he ran long-running private accounting coaching for higher-secondary students, through which students from various colleges in Fulgazi Upazila received instruction from him. In 2007 he taught as a "guest teacher" of accounting at Fulgazi Government College. He later founded Fulgazi Ideal Academy (Play to Class 10) — a well-known institution in Fulgazi Upazila — and has served with distinction as its founding headmaster ever since.

Alongside his unprecedented contribution to education in Fulgazi Upazila, he has made an extraordinary contribution over a long political life through public welfare, humanitarian service, social development, flood relief, medical assistance, housing assistance, sports, and local dispute mediation — working with his intellect, labour, honesty and skill from the grassroots level up to the highest levels of the upazila.
